3. Eligibility and Qualification

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) along with ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trades (such as Fitter, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, etc.).

Alternative: Candidates holding a Diploma or Degree in Engineering are also eligible for this Railway recruitment.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as of July 01, 2026. (Relaxation for reserved categories will be as per rules).

Medical Standard: Candidates must meet the A-1 medical standard (Vision: 6/6 without glasses).
4. Selection Process
The Railway ALP selection process consists of 5 main stages:

CBT-1: Computer Based Preliminary Test (Screening only).

CBT-2: Main Examination (Merit will be based on Part A).

CBAT: Computer Based Aptitude Test (Psycho Test).
